Bacterial Efflux and Environmental Resistance - BEER

The work of the "Bacterial Efflux and Environmental Resistance" team is positioned at the interface of the environmental and health fields, and is therefore part of a One Health context.

The team's scientific project aims to understand the impact of environmental selection pressures such as chemical stress (antimicrobials, metals, eukaryotic compounds, etc.) and their consequences on bacterial communities in terms of the emergence and dispersal of populations with MDR (multi-drug resistance) phenotypes carrying efflux mechanisms.

This research is carried out at several levels of biological organization (from the gene to the ecosystem) and draws on multidisciplinary skills.
