BEER team's work is structured around two main themes:

1. Characterization of environmental reservoirs of MDR efflux bacteria under different selection pressures :

• Identification of hot spots for the selection of MDR populations, focusing on environments subject to environmental selection pressures.
• Identification of MDR bacteria associated with eukaryotic organisms such as plants, amoebae, etc.

2. Role of efflux pumps and bacteria with MDR phenotype in adaptation to non-antibiotic selection pressures :

Identification of substrates and inducers of RND efflux pumps

Role of RND efflux pumps in the adaptation of MDR bacteria to environmental selection pressures.
