19th international bacteriophage meeting

Evergreen State College - Aug. 7-12, 2011

The 19th Biennial Evergreen International Phage Biology Meeting will be held August 7 – 12, 2011. The primary goal of these meetings is to bring together people from various backgrounds, countries and interests to build strong working relationships and new insights. They follow the traditional Cold Spring Harbor format (15-min talks by many who want to speak, selected from submitted abstracts) while adding a longer keynote/overview talk at the start of each session. Posters are invited both as independent presentations and to facilitate closer examination of detailed talk data ; they remain up throughout the meeting. Topics include phage ecology ; phage therapy ; phage applications in agriculture, aquaculture, food safety, diagnostics and biodefense ; phage genomics and proteomics and their applications ; the processes of phage infection, replication, transcription, and morphogenesis for various phages ; modified phage and phage protein technologies.
